“The girl wearing flowers” in Hindi
Inspired by women who love life and are not afraid to live it, the designer Juliette Kress conceives the Fullwati project in Paris, following her travels in India and Asia.
It is in New Delhi that the beauty of the fabrics becomes the soul of Fullwati. Colorful pieces, fun, offbeat, ultra original, completely crazy!
Fullwati is also a human story. The fabrics used, come from India, are woven in association with a group of ambitious indian women, who are reintegrating into society, seeking to emancipate themselves and break the codes that have been inflicted to them.
The designer finally returns to Paris and launches her project. She names it Fullwati, « the girl wearing flower» in Hindi, in tribute to the nickname given to her by Manish Arora during their working time together in India.
The most beautiful yarns of Europe and France (shimmering and beautiful colors of wool, mohair and cotton) will then meet to assemble these sublime pieces.
It will take no more than two Italian women of Florence, Monica and Alda, to concretize the manufacture of the jumpers. The two passionate women have set up their knitting factory and are blessed with a crazy talent! The alchemy is instantaneous and the sweaters come to life!
YES, we can reveal ourselves and have fun wearing the knitting that suits us! Fullwati is above all the pride of being a woman, the “Girl Power” around the world and a solid ambition. Fullwati are these women, it’s us, it’s you.
